Geodorum Densiflorum  Orchid
Geodorum densiflorum orchid is commonly known as pink Nodding swamp orchid. Nodding swamp orchid is a plant in orchid family, is a medium to small, and found from India to Southeast Asia to Australia and some Pacific Islands. It is growing in moist grasslands, heathlands, sandy areas behind beaches, woodland, swamps, open forest, well-drained soil, monsoonal thickets, and rainforests as well as dry lowland forests at elevations up to 1000m.

Geodorum densiflorum orchids are a leafy, terrestrial herb with crowded pseudobulbs 30-50mm long and 20-30mm wide. Nodding swamp orchid is having 1-2 dark yellowish pleated leaves on a stem. Leaves are 250-350mm long and 60-80mm wide with a stalk 2-8cm long.


The flowers are not widely opening. Sepals and lateral petal are 11-18mm long and 2.5-5mm wide. The color of the flower is white to deep pink. The flowers are slight turns toward the ground. The flower blossoms between June-July in Asia and December-February in Australia.
